New Patient FAQ

Quick answers to the most common first-timer questions.

Do I need a referral to become a new patient?
No referral is needed. Chiropractors are primary care providers — you can call and book directly. For auto accident patients, you can walk in within 14 days of your accident to access your PIP benefits.
How soon can I get an appointment?
We offer same-day appointments for accident victims and new patients whenever possible. Call (941) 460-0287 and we will do our best to see you today.
What if I don't have my insurance information yet?
Come anyway! Bring what you have and we'll help figure out the rest. Our staff is experienced at tracking down insurance information and can often verify coverage on your behalf.
Will I receive treatment on my very first visit?
In most cases, yes. After the consultation and examination, Dr. Plummer will typically perform your first adjustment or therapy in the same appointment so you leave already on the road to recovery.
Is chiropractic care safe if I'm in significant pain?
Absolutely. Dr. Plummer is highly experienced with acute injury patients and adapts his techniques to your current pain level and condition. We never rush or push beyond what's appropriate for your body.
Can I bring a family member or friend with me?
Of course! Bringing a support person is always welcome. They can sit with you during the consultation and help you remember the details of your treatment plan.
